Terry Jenoure is a violinist, vocalist and composer. She is a protégé of the Free Jazz pioneers and has performed and recorded with Archie Shepp, Marion Brown, John Carter, Henry Threadgill, Lawrence “Butch” Morris, Billy Bang and especially Leroy Jenkins. She is a recipient of grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Holding Masters and Doctoral degrees in Education, and a B.A. in Philosophy, she has lectured on five continents and was on the graduate faculty at Lesley University for 18 years. Until her recent retirement, Terry served as the Director of Augusta Savage Gallery at the University of Massachusetts Amherst for over twenty-five years.
